The device is used in conjunction with high-power servomotors. Since it is powered by 12V, it was necessary to include an on-board DC-DC regulator with a maximum current of 5A to safely power any type of servomotor used. In addition to the servo output, the board can supply power to an additional load of up to 20W max.
The heart of the circuit is an 8-bit microcontroller from #Microchip.
